Foundation supports families

A grant was awarded to the Family Resource Center St. Croix Valley. The grant will support the "Play & Learn" group in New Richmond that meets weekly. The gathering includes guided parent-child play, circle time with songs, parent education, activities, snacks and more.

Foundation supports counseling

A grant was awarded to the the FamilyMeans organization in Stillwater. The funding will be used to cover the cost for mental health counselors who meet with residents of the New Richmond area. FamilyMeans plans to have a counseling office in New Richmond later this year. The program also conducts Teen Screen for ninth graders to help identify young people in need of mental health services.
